LabWeek Web3 (opens new window) returns this November — and we’re heading to Buenos Aires.
From November 13–19, 2025, builders from across Protocol Labs and the broader web3 ecosystem will gather for a decentralized week of workshops, research-focused seminars, summits, meetups, unconferences, and more! This year, LabWeek Web3 coincides with Devconnect, creating a powerful moment for connection, collaboration, and driving real progress on the technologies shaping the future of the internet.
# What Is LabWeek Web3?
LabWeek Web3 confronts today’s most urgent questions at the crossroads of digital human rights and the decentralized web. We face mounting risks from centralized data control, censorship, insecure communication, and threats to privacy and freedom. LabWeek is about advancing technologies that restore agency — returning control of our data, our voices, our communications, and our digital futures to the people.
# Why Buenos Aires?
Argentina’s history of economic instability has made it one of the world’s most active proving grounds for crypto adoption. In a place where traditional systems have broken trust, decentralized technologies offer a way to regain financial agency and protect digital rights. Hosting LabWeek Web3 in Buenos Aires reinforces what the movement is about: building systems that work under pressure, support autonomy, and have tangible real-world impact.
# What’s New This Year
In 2024, we experimented with separate LabWeeks for each of our focus areas — Digital Human Rights, Public Goods, and Field Building. This year, we moved to smaller, more focused events and retreats for Public Goods and Neurotech throughout the year. But LabWeek Web3 is where the innovation network — and aligned ecosystems — converge IRL to focus on digital rights, decentralized infrastructure, and technologies with immediate impact.
# Community-First: By Builders, for Builders
LabWeek Web3 is decentralized by design. Every event is independently organized by teams pushing their domain forward — from zero-knowledge proof to DePIN to decentralized AI and storage to edge computing and beyond! The goal is to bring together domain leaders to make real progress. If you’re building something, you can host something. Spots for hosting events fill fast — submit yours now at 25.labweek.io/25-w3 (opens new window).
